How much should you leave TiP for people who serve you when travelling in Vietnam ? People say Tip is illegal in Vietnam that is what people say in book in school

 

- No 1: It is depend how heavy things they do for you, how long they serve you. If Vietnamese local such tourguide, driver are serving service in longer 5 days with you, leave them same their day everage income normally 30$ / day for 4,5 star service, 10$/ day for 3,2 star service.

- No 2: Short time service that they service you during some hours only, please pay $5 for extra. Ofcourse this will be add 7% service charge in some restaurant.

 

Tips: it is ok for everagement of exchange rate 23.000 d = $US1.

 

Of course, you are free to tip more or less as you see fit, depending on your perception of service quality and the length of your trip. Remember, a tip is not compulsory and should only be given when you receive excellent service.
